PowerPoint decks: create and revise

Updated 2026-07-29·5 min read

How Aimee creates K3 PowerPoint decks, uses approved templates and charts, checks slide quality, and revises supplied presentations.

Creating a presentation

Ask Aimee to create a presentation and describe the audience, purpose, key messages, approximate slide count and any source material. New topic-led, educational, technical, compliance and proposal decks use the approved K3 Advisory Group presentation template.

Choosing the right K3 template

  • Use the standard K3 template for general topic-led decks, including a pitch focused on one K3 service.
  • Ask for the K3 credentials deck when you need an approved group introduction or capabilities presentation.
  • Approved credential slides retained from the credentials library remain unchanged.
  • A short credentials introduction commonly includes the cover, why K3, value overview, national reach and contact slides.

Charts in PowerPoint

Most standard chart types are created as native, editable PowerPoint charts. Simpler two-dimensional charts are preferred unless you request a specialised chart.

Waterfall, funnel, treemap, sunburst, histogram, box-and-whisker, combo and map charts are inserted as fixed images and cannot be edited as PowerPoint charts. Pareto charts are not currently supported.

Tables in PowerPoint

Tables support up to 10 data rows and 6 columns per slide. Keep headers to 60 characters and body cells to 100 characters so the generated slide remains readable.

Inspecting and revising a deck

  1. Attach or identify the presentation and ask Aimee to inspect it first.
  2. Describe the slides, content or charts that need to change.
  3. A normal revision creates a new copy that preserves the supplied deck's master and visual style.
  4. If you want a supplied deck converted to K3 branding, explicitly ask Aimee to convert or re-template it onto the K3 template.
  5. Open the result in the read-only viewer and check every slide before use.

Automatic slide quality checks

Before saving a generated deck, Aimee checks for clipped or overflowing content, off-template colours and fonts, blank slides, empty placeholders, broken images and other package problems. A deck that fails these checks is not delivered as a finished artifact; Aimee must correct and regenerate it.

Aimee may shorten an overly long title to one clear sentence-case line and move the detail into the slide body or additional slides so the title remains readable.
